about:​ Bridges of Sports (BoS) envisions a National Sports Corps (NSC) that will provide sports fellowships to 400,000 by 2025 as a way to make sports accessible to underserved thereby creating an inclusive India, by creating sustainable opportunities through sports eco-system. the NSC consists of ex-athletes, physical education teachers, coaches and volunteers from the local community. they are trained and placed in schools and communities as coaches on a 2 year fellowship. BoS will use sports as a social intervention tool – to achieve zero dropout rate in schools; to provide training in sports such that post secondary education – these kids can at least be community coaches and local entrepreneurs. BoS has 1200 kids from 2 districts in Karnataka, starting the program in April 2017 and is providing grants for NGO’s aligned with their vision. it has also signed MoU with Wheeling Happiness Foundation, Co-founded by the Silver Medalist at Rio Paralympics – to provide the support system for the differently abled.
